Does anyone do this on their own sites and forums, add secret pages and sections to reward people bored enough to go looking for them?

Because I've seen it done in a few places now. GameFAQs has what we call 'secret boards' you can only access if you know the ID number, and people who call themselves 'board hunters' who go looking for them:

A few Nintendo fan sites have 'secret pages' you can find if you're sufficiently bored and can unravel the clues:

And a few people on Wikipedia had similar stuff going on at one point too:

So do you have any like this on your site, either as a joke or community thing?

I think Waindigo made a addon to give people trophy awards in xenforo when they visit a secret link. I haven't really looked at it but that's the what I got from a brief scan of it.

I have been thinking about making a secret page challenge for my members. The winner would get a trophy reward and a amazon gc. Thinking about doing it on a weekly basis and I really think they would like it.

Hey, that's a pretty interesting idea, PassiveHybrid.
It has the potential to be really effective to keep the community active.

You can make it like a www search, put some clues on your Twitter, some on your FaceBook, make some YouTube videos etc. It surely will increase your members activity, people just love riddles and rewards. And this is a perfect combination of those.
