    I'm of two minds on ranks. First, I don't want people posting nonsense just for a certain "rank" or for people to think less of other people because they don't have a certain rank, and therefore be taken less seriously.

    But, at the same time, I want to encourage my members to post useful info, and I really would like to reward people for their valuable posts.

    That said, I don't have ranks yet, but I'll be restyling astromechfactory.com soon, so I'll most likely add ranks.

    TeeGopher could probably use them, too.

    Banned Badges?

    Are "banned" rank badges important? I see that Partyon doesn't have one but Nick does.

    No, I don't think they're important at all. I just use them to make it easy to distinguish banned members from the rest. :shrug:

    It's really just a matter of personal preference.

    We have one this one here:

    But we no longer use it, we dont see the need to highlight a member is banned further than we already do with the Banned user title and members being unable to access their profiles.
