can anybody help me? new VB forum and i need this..

What happened was a code was put in and somehow the database made it be that it was put in 10000 times..so on almost every page you cant load them since the code is on it. Steve Machol (high up in the vbulletin organization) told me to re-upload the original files and have them overwrite the forum files. Someone tried that (another admin) and now we have extra files on the index page but that can be deleted easily.

that was the message i got to fix it..

    anybody know how?

I'm not sure I understand; which forum is this on? All I see are SMF forums, can you link us to the page?

Did you just buy this forum??

It was posted here for sale at like 10:35 [For Sale] Sports Forum for sale

Your post is at 10:53

    EDIT:

OH and on that forum it just looks like they either didn't upload the images or the paths are wrong.

I am also very surprised at the fact that they give no credit to vbstyles. Since that is their skin. They just ripped it and changed the graphics ;)

Well, I asked you if they actually have those images uploaded on their server?

Your post post is kinda incoherent. So I really have no idea what is wrong with the forum besides it looks like images aren't loading and they are hot linking their rank images from here at adminaddict :D And the fact that it is a ripped skin..but I guess that is besides the point right now

    EDIT:

And to switch everything over if both servers have cpanel you do a transfer between the 2. You host should even be able to do it for you or give you a hint on how to. It isn't hard.

Florida13, did you get an email from your web host when you paid for your hosting account? It will usually list your "Dynamic Name Servers" or DNS. If not, contact tech support at your host and ask what they are. Then go to your domain name registrar, look for your domain name's options, and change the DNS to match what your host gave you.

E-mail or contact your host for the Nameservers required, log in to your GoDaddy account and change the Name Servers of the domain name to what your host supplied. Also ensure you unlock the domain name.

Yes, you have to put your nameservers in (the ones HostGator tells you to use). That is how you point the domain name to your web site. If vBulletin was properly installed, it will show up after the changes propagate. (That can take anywhere from a few minutes to a couple of days.)
