Forum in your domain?

    Exactly. If you were to transform into a static content-based website, having such a term in the domain name being used would certainly cause confusion.

    Although you may intend for your site to be nothing more than a forum, I'd still be hesitant to go with a domain that has 'forum' in it. What if you want to expand in the future? You can't - you're stuck! (Well, you can... but the domain name would no longer be totally relevant).

    It would be (and is) rather odd when you visit a site with 'forum' in the domain, only to be greeted to... not a forum.
