Yea, that's why on any forum I am, large or small I try to be friendly with new members.. because if you are ignored you really have no reason to be a regular member there.

That's the thing I do as well. I try to communicate with all the members of the forum, and get to know them, that way, I can make more friends.

It's good you guys do that, but most forums, the people on there just don't care and it's hard to get into the community. Take for instance this Runescape forum I'm on. I've posted a total of 11 times, and have only gotten a response to one of my posts once.

This forum I'm referring to doesn't even have a section for new members to be introduced, just a sticky thread. That makes it even harder to get to know people.

Yea I see where you are coming from, it can be frustrating specially when the staff dont seem to care either. And I also hate when forums use a thread instead of a forum for introductions, and I find having a forum for introductions very important to any community.

Some forums don't have the welcoming/friendly atmosphere because the forum has outgrew its old user-base, and new ones have been brought on. I know what you mean though, its sad.

Yea I agree, sometimes there is nothing to do about it as the forum generally grows over time. I hope AdminBB never grows to a point where it wont be much of a community anymore.

Depends on how big the forum is, you can still get known if the forum is medium sized.

As long as the staff remain an active part of the community, it shouldn't happen. It all depends on the staff on where the forum goes when it continues to grow, when staff get too busy or stop caring, things like this happen.

Have to agree, staff are a major part of any forum.

They are fun if you have been part of them since an early stage.
