If they were open about using SearchWiki data like that, then people (like us) would try to game the system. Hence my (perhaps silly) desire to have people vote up my sites with it :)

I'm not finding any page there Nick, should I be? Or are you trying to say there would be a placeholder if they intended to do it?

To be honest, no. One time in the past, one of the older versions of my site was, and it wasn't removed until the site actually died, despite not being updated for years and having multiple redirects saying 'site has moved to...'

Haven't had my current site listed yet, or probably ever, since the categories it would go in have a tendency to never really be updated a whole lot.

    I read that too.
I submitted the info for my forum almost two years ago one time and didn´t get any reply and it isn´t listed so far. At least an info about the rejection would be needed to avoid further tries of getting an entry.

I second. I was eager to use all seo-options available, but now I´m pleased with my rank on the second place within the english-language-search-option and on the fourth place within the language-independent-search-option. The honor goes to vbseo, I´m convinced. I´m not backlinked that much, so my rank is highly pleasing for me.

I too applied to be an editor and was rejected. They cited my poor English grammar and spelling along with the quality of sites I suggested in my application.

They can bite me I won't be wasting my time with them any more.

I just applied to be an editor of the Computers: Internet: On the Web: Online Communities: Community Management category. Hopefully AA will be a good reference of mine. I'll keep you guys updated.

Anybody know how long it takes to hear back as to whether or not you've been accepted as an editor or not?

I've noticed that it's not best to apply for a category that your site will be listed under, they seem to think you want the spot just to list your site.

    Good luck :)

I've submitted my site, but I've never got listed. Such a shame. DMOZ supplies a quality backlink.
