Could someone provide a little advice for me as a beginner please.

I am considering learning a little about coding, exactly where should I start?

    HTML? or something else?

The first question is what exactly are you interested in coding?

http://w3schools.com/ is usually the go-to website to learn basics of any language...but which one you learn depends entirely on what you will be doing.

When I first entered the world of programming (web side,) I actually went to tizag.com. It's a lot like w3schools.com in content. They are both good though. In the end, I have used both about equally for reference. Of course, don't stop there as once you get the basics down, you will need to go else were. I find myself only going back there for basic things I just plain out forget over time. It can be often, sometimes, I will admit though. xD Very useful websites.
