I'm not sure if this is the right place for this question but I wanted to know how you get the little alien face to appear in the address bar on the introduction page.

If it's not too much trouble, I'd be interested in knowing this as well.

Hmm, can you be more specific? I'm not sure to what face you're referring? .

In IE, in the address field, your URL comes up with the Alien face next to it, instead of the generic IE html page icon.
I've seen a few other sites implement this, but was never sure how it was done.

{edit} Another cool aspect of this is that, if I create a shortcut to your URL, the shortcut takes on the icon, instead of the generic Windows default icon for HTML pages.
Likewise, the same happens if I put a shortcut button to the Forums page on my IE quick-links bar.

I remember seeing this on the Microsoft website before... I think you have to put an icon in your directory and rename it to something.

I believe the filename you put in your root web-public-directory would be: "favicon.ico"

Hope that helps. Now I just gotta make it transparent. .

I also really dig how the alien face comes up in the IE Favorites pulldown list too when you bookmark the site. This is a cool trick, gotta try it out myself!

Yeah, it basically applies itself to every shortcut to that page.

Anyone know if it's possible to have it apply to an entire site? IOW, not just the main page, but all pages under that one? Does the image show up under Netscape as well, or is this an IE exclusive feature?

Not sure about sitewide.. Maybe if it's just in your base site directory...

As for Netscape, nope, just IE. Hell, there's at least a dozen features here that Netscapers cannot view or see unfortunatly.
