    List of SEO Tools
The List compiled here is a cleaned up version from an older post. These are my favorite free tools on the net.

    On Page Optimization Tools

http://website.grader.com/ - A simple website analyzer with some helpful tips for your site

http://searchenginewatch.com/2175271 - Article on creating an RSS feed for your site.

http://www.W3Optimizer.com - Nice on page optimization tool with key parameters checked on your site.

    Off Page Information Tool

http://www.diagnosticoweb.com/ - Good all around site tool.

    On page/Off page tools:

http://www.seocentro.com/tools/seo-tools.html - Nice collection of basic SEO tools. Very basic but can help.

http://seoanalytic.com/tools/ - Pretty good tool set including internal PR checker.

    Keyword Traffic Tools

https://adwords.google.com/select/Tr...imatorSandbox- Nice traffic estimator. Type in the keywords you want to estimate, maximize your budget and you'll see what Google sees as potential traffic. Usually used for Adwords but nice to use for estimating niche markets for website development.

http://www.google.com/insights/search/# - Googles on Beta search traffic tool by volume, region over time.

http://www.semrush.com/ - Nice tool for traffic and competitors. Added after checking it out per DPer on this thread!

    Keyword Competitor Analysis

http://www.keywordspy.com/default.aspx - Nice tool to see what keywords your competitors are using.

    Fake Pagerank Detector Tool

http://www.checkpagerank.net/ - Nice PR checker and validator when exchanging/purchasing links.

http://www.archive.org/index.php - Try the Way Back Machine on this site when validating obtaining links. This gives you a good idea if the domain from which you want to get a link on was recently transferred/dropped and if its' PR is about to go "poof".

    SERP Tool

    http://www.allno1.com/google_serp/mu...nk_checker.asp - A nice worldwide SERP checker.

http://www.seologs.com/data-center-check.html - Check your SERP in different data centers via small Google like windows.

http://www.seocritique.com/datacentertool/ - Fast SERP checker across different datacenters

http://www.serprank.com/serp-check.php - Check your SERP position on different search engines

http://64.233.179.104 and http://66.249.93.104 - These are the Google Big Daddy Datacenters for the US. SERPs usually start here then migrate across the other datacenters.

    Link Development Tips
http://collinlahay.com/- Nice site on link development for any niche.

    Backlink Tool

http://www.iwebtool.com/backlink_checker - Nice but limited way to see what sites link to you and their associated PR's.

http://www.backlinkwatch.com - Added backlink checker recommended by several DPers on this thread.

https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/ - Yahoo's backlink tool whcih is very comprehensive.

http://www.online-utility.org/webmas...n_analyzer.jsp - Nicely organized backlink tool which is very compacted and gives you a quick look at how your backlinks are distributed. Try it you'll like it!

    Redirect Tool

http://www.internetofficer.com/seo-tool/redirect-check/ - Checked this one out after DPer on this thread recommended it. The tool checks to see if your 301 redirect is working properly. This is important for new domain names and transferring websites.

    SEO Strategy Blog

http://www.bluehatseo.com/serp-domination/ - If you are faint of heart don't bother reading this blog as the webmaster is very "verbal". Whether you are a beginner or advanced in the art of SEO this blog (not just this page) has loads of "Blue Hat" methods. You will get an idea how one SEO expert exploits the web and get a better understanding on how SEO works. I by no means advocate everything in this blog but it does help you learn what is important in getting good SERP.

    Copyright Tool
http://www.copyscape.com/ - Check to see who is copying your stuff and take action.

http://www.timeforblogging.com/2006/...-your-content/ - Good site on how to deal with copycats.

    Avoiding Penalty Tips

http://www.ksl-consulting.co.uk/google_penalty.html - Good list of things to be careful about so you don't get a Google penalty.

http://www.diagnosticoweb.com/tips/googlechart.php - Very good flowchart on how to handle a penalty.

    Indexing Tools

http://www.bluehatseo.com/quit-quick-indexing-tool/ - Another great blogpost and tool to get your new site indexed from Eli.

    Google Views

http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...60678227172395 -Some older vdeos from Google's Matt Cutts. Very informative!

    Do Follow Tool

New 2/20/09- https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/5687 -Do Follow Tool for Firefox so you can see which blogs have do follow.
