I would consider the offer. No revenue makes it good for me as a buyer just because if there was any revenue, the prices would have been higher and more unaffordable or probably they wont be selling it off. And for the license, SMF is supposed to be a free forum script

It sounds like someone else is going to buy it before I can, anyway. The owner informed me there's another potential buyer, and it sounds like he'll get the money sooner. Oh well.

Be careful with that. Scarcity is a powerful selling tool.

    Neat, Dan!

After reading the article, I can say that the forum in question is reasonably active, but the real reason for my interest is because it would indeed have value to me beyond possible monetization with AdSense. The topic is a business I plan to get into.

If it's still available when I have the money, I plan to. Assuming that other prospective buyer doesn't get there first.

I wouldn't get it, like you said it isn't as active as it was. Maybe if it gains good daily traffic then yes but if its activity is extremely low then I wouldn't purchase it. A dedicated moderator isn't hard to find if you search around and find some good friends.

I recommend you don't purchase it but if you really want to, go for it!
