And how can that The8thLegion call anyone in that Brogan thread, wasn't he the person who posted this on Admin Extra having a good cry himself about things. Now spouting off in that thread spamming his own posts repeatedly about what's posted here. Talk about being - two faced!

He doesn't even know what site he's talking about, he's labelling this one "Admin Extra"!

What a bunch of keyboard warriors those in this thread have become.

It's worth pointing out that many people on here also jumped on vBulletin when they launched vb4. It's a shame that they are just bouncing around attempting to destroy people, and companies to products they don't particularly like this month.

Looks like they are going ballistic now on XenForo about this site, just spotted a thread locked about it: Big amount of hate talk.

Mark.B and AWS have been dragged into things.

Jesus you people are like a bunch of sad old women trying to find the latest gossip and create trouble so you can sit back and watch the mess you create.

No surprise to see some of the individuals involved with this.

Your missing the point really, the reason this thread got started in the first place was due to threads getting locked one after the other on XenForo asking for some up-to-date information and never coming, which in turn only made things look dire there. So yeah, we decided to talk about it here instead and air what we thought was happening. Why shouldn't we, seeing as all of us are XenForo customers? Even now after Bogan has jacked, the remaining staff have not posted anything about it (out of respect). That man has been online moderating for 20 hours a day, every day helping people with problems. What a way to see him go out, they haven't even posted an announcement saying: "thanks for everything you've done here Brogan". Instead as usual, they just remain silent saying nothing!!!!

Talking more about Brogan, if you remember he left XenForo not that long ago. Going missing for a few weeks but still present on his own forum daily with "Mike Sullivan" spotted visited there a lot at the time also. My feeling is, Brogan might have left then and was talked into coming back again. But ever since coming back I've seen the tell-tale signs in many of Brogan's posts made since that things was still bothering him and the pressure was getting too much again. It's unfortunate some comments about him was made by AWS and Mark.B, both picked up now and highlighted at XenForo. Along with that recent one posted on Admin Extra by "AzzidReign". But I think that was just the last straw for him really, not the sole reason for him leaving XenForo in the end. I've seen Brogan give back as good as he takes at time, he wasn't no soft pussy foot!

I've seen Matt Mecham take some stick on the web from others, along with many other forum staff in the past like Steve Machol. But they didn't just up and leave because of it. That's why I'm not buying into just a few comments posted negativity about him being the sole cause for him packing in moderating at XenForo, even if doing it for FREE. And If it was in fact the sole reason, then he should never have been moderating there if you can't take some flack said about you on the web. When your in that kind of position making decisions on locking threads, it's always going to happen sooner or later!

If the blame should fall on anyone here. Try looking towards "Mike, Kier and Ashley", who should never have left Brogan moderating with all that crap happening on his own most of the time for so long. They could easy have made other customers (members) at XenForo free extra mods used to lighten the pressure on him. Some would have jumped at the chance to do it, people like Floris for example! They've stood back saying nothing letting Brogan take all the heat, you should look there for someone to blame if you ask me!

And the Drama continues, just read Shelley is now removing all her Mods because she was put in moderation queue at XenForo. Mark.B, has lost his "Drama Queen" mantel for sure today! First Floris seeking attention, now Shelley spitting dummy out - what next?

A thread has been started also asking questions about XenForo again: http://xenforo.com/c...-xenforo.31292/

It would be a shame if this forum, this thread or the people in it became scapegoats for what's happening in the Xenforo community. All we are doing is expressing concern in a place where it won't be trolled, trashed or deleted. We are on the same side - we want the software which we PAID for to be actively supported by the developers, to be treated like grown ups even if we have the same concerns week after week after week. We want Xenforo to be the best, because in being better than vB or IPB it will generate the money needed to fight the lawsuit and to survive. So to be labelled as "haters" when we are expressing valid concerns - often accurate and well ahead of the sheep/clique - is quite insulting but only goes to justify our running off to other forums in the first place. It's called cause and effect, folks.

Unfortunately, the fan-boys are trying to "do just that". We ARE the escape goats!

I just wanted to say to all the fanbois, that Ashley's statement today supports what we were saying all along. Nothing was happening in terms of development.

Working towards, not actually doing it at the moment. That's as clear a statement as you can make without actually saying it.

I hope Ashley's statement isn't just more smoke and mirrors. Let's hope this is followed up with some tangible actions. Like Kier, Mike and Ashley taking an active part in the forum again. I'm really excited to think - to hope - we can now get back to a positive, forward thinking and genuinely communicative community as it was before. Let's also hope the new moderators have genuine customer facing experience and understand that not all comments made will sound positive, but if they are from licence holders, are still valid and should be treated with respect.

In summary, this is a golden opportunity to move the community forward on a positive and proactive footing and to silence people like me - because if Xenforo was working OK and moving along with active support, I'd certainly have nothing to moan about.

Yep that says to me - they are not developing or supporting it at the moment. Which is worrying, and as far as I am concerned, indicates that XF as we knew it is finished.

First of a word to the fanboys that happened by here today. When you post on a community it's proper etiquette to read the posting guidelines first. That way you know what can and can't be said. I have no bad word filters turned on here because I expect everyone that visits to conduct themselves in a civil manner. Today I had to edit a post, remove offensive words and warn a user. It is clearly stated that profanity is not allowed here. Use of profanity only shows a persons ignorance. If you debate a point or disagree with someone do in an intelligent manner and you just might sway a person to your way of thinking. Swearing only makes you look stupid. Abide by the guidelines and you'll never hear a word from me.

Now back on topic. I am glad someone from xenforo staff said something. Even though it reads to me that for a while development stopped and now they are trying to move towards a more transparent path. This is all well and good if it actually is put in motion. I like xenforo, but, I have no confidence in the team. I see too many of the same things happening now that happened when they all worked for vbulletin. No information leaving customers to argue amongst themselves. Many of the same vocal xen fanboys were also the most vocal vbulletin fanboys so many of the same arguments are taking place all over again. The only thing that kept the house from falling completely apart during that time was the very capable Steve and Wayne. What xen needs more than anything right now is someone like that to keep things calm until the veil of silence is dropped.

Well not a good start....one member posted his "wishlist" and one of them was "[background=rgb(252, 252, 255)] XF releases a new version that shuts the bad mouths here."[/background]

[background=rgb(252, 252, 255)]I called this out as yet more insults. I've been advised my post has been deleted and I should attempt to make it in a more constructive manner.[/background]

[background=rgb(252, 252, 255)]Well, I can't really. If someone insults me and other members, how on Earth does one respond to that?[/background]

[background=rgb(252, 252, 255)]It's a complete disaster over there and frankly both the product and the community are finished. Since there's now absolutely zero chance I will ever migrate my site to XF I will put the licence up for sale in due course. Doubt it'll fetch much at the moment but I just need to get rid and closer this mess off.[/background]

What will happen in the coming few weeks will be the new moderators strutting their stuff and "slapping" everyone into line. This shaking of the tree is bound to have some casualties. I should imagine anyone left wanting to voice an opinion that does not fit in with the new Xenforo police will be pushed out to forums like this. I would hope also in the coming weeks Kier and Mike will start to become active again and slowly repair the damage. If they don't this will just go around in a big circle - new mods, same problems.

Steve and Wayne did alot, but there was also something else. There was no really comparable platform at the time. vBulletin was the only real decent script out there back then. But your right, Kier & Co was not good at keeping people advised of much back in the vB days either.

I would imagine, Kier & Co havent been developing as much as some of the fanboys would have you believe. Understandably. They have to support themselves and the company too while going through a heavy duty lawsuit.

I cannot believe that the situation has been allowed to deteriorate to the point it has. The product is finished, and it's such a shame because it had great potential.

I can't even begin to list the serious mistakes that have been made, business-wise, probably the biggest was starting the thing in the first place as it was always obvious IB would come after them.

As for reposting my comments more constructively - thanks but no thanks. I'll post them somewhere where comments are not selectively censored based on whether they are supportive or not. What am I supposed to say? "Please, please, would you mind awfully not insulting me? Please? Only if it's no trouble though". How ridiculous.

What Brogan has now said confirms practically everything we've all been saying, but still it is OUR posts being censored.

I'll keep myself well away from now on. I don't use the product, and now I never will. Truly a tragic turn of events and a waste of great talent.

The worst of it is, people will blame vBulletin for this because of the lawsuit, but the reality is we all know it would have gone this way sooner or later even without it.
