Is it just me or does xenforo have a ton of spam prevention mods?

I wonder how that list compares to vB? I can only remember a handful of mods for spam at vb.org

Well, the problem is that Spam can really take its toll on a forum and xenforo weren't as hit as other platforms, since they're still young. The recent updates in that dreaded xrumer though made our forums a spam haven for some hours/days. I salute any anti-spam plugin, they're really community savers :D

I do agree the spam problem with XF is a huge deal. Specially when you are trying to get the site going. They now have multiple programs with built in XF modules to spam XF boards. And they would not have taken the time to make the modules, addons, updates if it was not easy to spam XF. I honestly applaud the people making mods to stop it, though I really dislike the GREED in the XF community. It is all about making people buy add ons, mods, whatever. This is prolly the biggest CON against XF. With Vb you can simply go to vb.org and 9/10 times find what you need without having to pay people to create it

They do not have bad behavior though. I really would not want to do without that. That saves me from so much trouble (spam, scrapers, hackers, a *lot* of bandwidth costs)

Can never go wrong with more anti-spam measures. :) As long as they aren't intrusive to true posters/real members but keep bots and other troublesome spammers out then i'm all for them. The more the merrier I say. :D
