As in, something that isn't vBulletin, Invision Power Board, XenForo, MyBB, SMF or PhpBB?

If so, post it here along with a description and link to the official site/download. Because I think it could be interesting to see just how many forum scripts are out there in the market and to look at some of the lesser known ones that no one ever talks about.

I'll post some interesting forum software I've found soon.

I know of two which you did not list, the two are EsoTalk & Vanilla, EsoTalk has a lot of work that's needed on it but it has plenty of potential if the lead developer would get back onto the project, however, Vanilla has grown into something quite nice, I've moved my own forum from MyBB to Vanilla simply because how beautiful I think their platform is.

FluxBB is a fork of PunBB and pretty active too. ArchLinux forum is using it.

All of the Forumotion software options are just "skinned" versions of phpBB 2, actually.

    FluxBB looks pretty wickedly fast.

I love experimenting with small fast pure and simple forum software like that. Especially when it's free!

Unfortunately no, I found it accidentally when looking for basic and lightweight forum.

@Cerberus : Some of them are already inactive.

I currently waiting for beta of two SMF forks : Elkarte and Wedge.

Anyone run any of these? I'm fixing to setup my third forum and thinking of using free software, and if it takes off I'll convert to something more popular (aka something I know more of).

There's variations of the software that make "chan" boards.

If all chan sites are clones of 4chan like you say CM30, then all forums are also.

I designed my own. It's not as powerful as VBulletin and the like, but for what I need it for... it doesn't have to be. I tend to find the traditional forum format puts a lot of people off unless the forum is targeted and it's booming with content and activity.

I wish I was so lucky! I have very little content and a userbase which is notorious for having no patience. No I designed my forum software around that.

^ For whatever reason, your forum doesn't work for me. The page is blank except for the top bar. Any reason for that?
